Questions to Ask

As the new year begins, I would like to offer 10 questions to ask potential new early intervention providers when you are trying to evaluate how they may work with you and your child.Staring with number 10....

10. If needed, will you work with an interpreter so that I may get the most from our sessions?
9. How will you conduct your assessments?
8. Can the services occur in a place and at a time more convenient to our family schedule?
7. How often do you cancel or are late for sessions?
6. What other services might you suggest that my family could benefit from that we may not be getting?
5. What do you believe your role is in relation to family support and education and within the EI team?
4. What type of training and experience do you have with children who have needs similar to my child?
3. How will you communicate with me?
2. What can you teach me?
1. How will your services help my child?

Do you have other questions that you like to ask providers? If so, send them to me!
Happy New Year!
Cathy
